The grand finale of Béaba and La Bâtie’s fiftieth festival comes powered by the champions of global sound systems: Franco-Brazilian collective Furie joins forces with the 100% electronic African label Blanc Manioc, alongside special guests Baddest and Mara Seck.

Blanc Manioc

Born at the crossroads of Lyon and Bamako, Blanc Manioc is a label created by musician Dom Peter, member of the seminal experimental dub group High Tone. Here, electronic music and traditional sounds come together to ward off bad spirits while writing new chapters in the future of African music, particularly from the western part of the continent.

Furie Sound System

Founded by Pedro Bertho and Patxi, the Franco-Brazilian collective Furie builds bridges between South America and European club culture. Their sun-soaked vibrations move freely between tropical rhythms, techno, house, reggae, Italo disco and other irresistibly bouncy selections.

Baddest

A pioneer of Abidjan’s electronic scene, Ivorian DJ Baddest has forged a distinctive sound, blending the elegance of amapiano with the ghetto grooves of batida and baile funk, the wild rhythms of kuduro and the warmth of afro-house.

Mara Seck

A griot singer and percussionist from Dakar, Mara Seck first gained recognition in Europe with Guiss Guiss Bou Bess. A master of electro sabar, he fuses Senegal’s traditional percussion with a broad spectrum of electronic styles: trap, dubstep, UK garage, drum & bass, bass house and Afrobass.
