Inhale, exhale. Inhale, exhale. On stage, ten performers begin to move, driven by the growing energy of their own breath. In his latest creation, Greek choreographer Christos Papadopoulos transforms breathing into kinetic waves and living soundscapes. Inspired by the chorus of ancient tragedy, he channels a collective Greek memory while confronting it with the contemporary music of Mikis Theodorakis. At the same time, more intimate memories emerge: “I remember,” he explains, “that thirst for life, that speed, that unshakable belief, that feeling that everything was possible. This work is my attempt to revisit that feeling. To find it again.”
Full of momentum, optimism and wonder, My Fierce Ignorant Step captures the intensity of first encounters, first laughter and first shared emotions. The collective energy generated on stage spreads through the entire room, celebrating together the sheer joy of being fiercely alive.
